So to win the race, BSNL nationally rolled out an unlimited 3G mobile data plan at Rs. 1099 and even started offering 100% extra on some existing plans.
As BSNL is known for its interrupted data services but this time they have improved their network and will provide you the uninterrupted data services. This time be ready to use BSNL data service without any interruption like most of the time we face.
You can subscribe to these plan from today only.
“Due to improvement in the network, BSNL has been gaining customers. We are now first in the industry to offer unlimited 3G plan for Rs. 1,099 without a reduction in speed. This will rejoice [sic] our customers and help them experience improved BSNL networks,” BSNL Chairman and Managing Director Anupam Shrivastava said.
A report released by TRAI says BSNL added the highest number of subscribers in the month of April.
Here is the list:
- BSNL – 11.39 Lakh
- Bharti Airtel – 9.78 Lakh
- Reliance Communication – 1.1 Lakh
- Vodafone – 46,600
- Quadrant (Videocon Group – 25,012) and MTNL (11,591).
Almost each telecom company is trying to roll out cheaper data tariffs in order to compete Reliance Jio 4G Internet service. Below you can see BSNL updated plans.
|Pack Price||Offered Data||Validity|
|Rs. 1099||Unlimited without any FUP||30 Days|
|Rs. 549||10GB||30 Days|
|Rs. 156||2GB||10 Days|
BSNL 3G Data Plans Doubled
BSNL has increased 3G data usage in other plans too. Now you will receive 10 GB data instead of 5 GB at Rs. 549 plan and at Rs. 156 plan you are going to enjoy 2 GB 3G data now instead of 1 GB.
“The plan has a validity of 30 days and is equivalent to 100 per cent increase in data benefits to subscribers,” said BSNL CMD.
“Last year, BSNL had also facilitated the customer by offering 80 percent cheaper voice tariff. By massive reduction in data tariff and the introduction of unlimited data STVs (Special Tariff Vouchers), BSNL hopes to serve data customers, mainly the youth segment in a much better way,” BSNL Board Director (CM) RK Mittal said.
Earlier also BSNL offered a 3G unlimited data plan. at Rs. 700 but later it was withdrawn. But this times I don’t think, it will give a chance, to other competitors. As BSNL still don’t have 4G network so it is trying to grab more and more 3G consumers.
Now let’s see how other telecom service providers react to this unlimited 3G plan from BSNL. Maybe they also start offering 3G data service at same rates or cheaper. Or maybe they only focus on 4G price war that Reliance Jio has created.? We are going to get good benefit in the battle among telecom companies.
