In this article, I will help you create bootable USB using Power ISO.
Suppose you want to install Windows XP/7/8/10 on your PC. You can do this with following two methods:
- Using CD/DVD
- Using USB drive.
For your information simple CD/DVD and Pendrive will not do your work. So you need to
- Create bootable CD/DVD and
- Create bootable USB drive
If you do a quick survey of computer and laptops, you will find 80% of PCs are purchased without CD/DVD rider or are stopped functioning properly.
How to boot a computer system without CD/DVD?
Here comes the role of USB drive. Booting the system with USB is not very easy neither too hard.
As I stated above just sending the OS files from DVD to USB will not work. You need to make bootable USB.
To create bootable USB using Power ISO you need to be ready with 3 things:
1 – Operating System’s ISO file
I would suggest you download the Operating System’s ISO file Microsoft.com (official). It ensures it is free from viruses.
2 -Power ISO Software
You can download it from below links.
For 32-bit system CLICK HERE…!
For 64-bit system CLICK HERE…!
3 -Pendrive with the capacity of 4 GB or more.
Because except Windows XP, all version of Windows OS need space more than 3 GB.
Now install the Power ISO application on your system and run it with administrator privileges.
Steps to make a bootable USB drive using Power ISO
- Open Power ISO
- Insert the USB drive into your computer
- Go to Tools > Create Bootable USB Drive
- Select Source Image File(the .iso file you have downloaded from Microsoft)
- Select the writing method to USB-HDD and tap on Start to start the bootable USB making process
It will take 20-25 minutes to burn ISO file into USB drive.
Once it is completed a dialogue box pops up saying writing successfully done.
Click on OK and remove the USB drive safely.
You successfully create bootable USB using Power ISO.
